6 Tips on your 70-271 preparation

1.Firstly，I think the most concern of many candidates for MCDST 70-271 is whether 70 -271 has been retired or will close soon .To keep pace with the latest technology Windows 7, many of Windows XP exams have been retired. However, the 70-271 is not set to retire anytime soon unless the support has ended .AS Windows XP is still on the market; many complaints flood into Windows Vista and the latest technology Win7 is just released.
2. How much study time is enough for the candidates to 70-271?
 Generally speaking ,you should spend 6 more or less weeks preparing this MCDST exam ,about 1-2 hours per day in the weekdays ,and 2-2.5 hours per day in the weekends .Near the exam time ,you should study for 3 or so hours per day .of course ,this is just for reference ,you can make your study plan for MCDST exam 70-271.
3.When we prepare our XP exams including 70-271, all we want to know is what topic area or objectives is most important or hardest .and generally speaking, what topic the people think is difficult .
Maybe my answer will be disappointing .I don’t think that any of the chapters is more important than others .And all the exams are going to be different. There are not more one topic area questions than any other subject .So, don’t ask the questions like which topic will have more questions or does 70-271 exam have more Networking or VPN questions than any other subject. Because the questions are different each time and while one exam may seem heavy on one subject, the next may seem heavy on another. what you should do is to have an understanding of where you need to improve your knowledge or skills when you read your MS Press 70-271 books or do 70-271 practice tests and make sure you know each of the topic well. If there were some secrets to pass Windows XP 70-271 exam, the secret were to know what is your disadvantage in 70-271 preparation and focus on your weak areas and do enough practice exams to reinforce your knowledge.
 Besides，in my opinion ,it is my experience is that if you get 80% of the questions right in the back of the in the back of the book and 80% on objective reviews and 80% on trancenders you should be fine .And if you get the following topics well, you can pass 70-271 with high scores .or maximum scores of 1000.

4.70-270vs 70-271
1.Many of candidates for 70-270 or 70-271 want to know how much harder is the XP Operated system exams, 271 or 270.If you pass 70-270 firstly ,you will find 271  easier. As you will find the 270 practice test was actually a lot better .And the materials or the exam questions in MS Press book for 70-270 were almost the same for the 271 exam. Besides, 70-270 materials are mostly XP based.
 
2.The MCSA 270 exam is more technical. It requires a more in depth knowledge of “Ok, this has happened I need to do this. To do this I need to do A, then B, the C and X should happen because of my actions”.The 271 exam was much more general in terms of “Ok, this has happened I need to…”
Besides , MCSA elective exams 70-271 ,70-272  are both very logical exams.If you passed the 270 exam and  if you have experience you should have no issues  in passing MCDST 271 and 272 exams.
 5.  What is the passing score for both and how many questions are on 70-271?
As far as I’m aware the pass mark for all MS exams is 700 and you normally get 30 to 50 questions. More recently for me I’ve been getting more towards 50 questions in my past exams.
6. An effective way of studying 70-271.
The best materials for 70-271 exam, in my opinion, are MS Press books .Because they come with MeasureUp .Of course, I always buy the corresponding tests from SelfTest or Transcender.
The following tips is my study guide to 70-271, which was very useful for my preparation XP exams.Here ,I share my experience among us to help more and more people pass MCDST 70-271.
1. Begin with the MeasureUp test. Take the test quickly. Either you know the answer or you do not. Do not guess. Print every question you got wrong and use these to create lab scenarios and to know which chapters in the book to study or review. Use Technet MSDN or anything you can (except dumps, of course) to understand the answers.
2. Repeat this for a few weeks. Take a test like this every few days. Performing labs is very important to this phase.
3. Once you feel prepared enough begin taking a long test as if it were the actual exam using SelfTest or Transcender. Print your errors as you did before and study them.
Besides, I suggest 4 to 5 practice tests in the week before the exam to give yourself a good indication of how you will do.
