When you prepare your Microsoft exams such as 70-290,70-640,70-536,70-649 and so on ,what software or practice tests do you think is better ,Transcender or MeasureUp practice exams ?Although MeasureUp exams are on the Microsoft official pages ,in fact ,are they best for our Microsoft exam preparation ?
Firstly, let me have a look at the advice from those experiencing 70-290 exams.

Benjamin said: during my MCSA 70-290 preparation, I tried to do the case practice tests from both MeasureUp and Transcender. Although most of my friends passing 70-290,70-271 or 70-640 once recommended to use easier MeasureUp tests ,in my opinion, they seem a lot harder. More important, some of the materials have not been covered in the book, for example ,the topic about IIS in MS Press book could not go into any great detail apart from the basics and permissions it doesn’t go into Application pools and things like recycle worker processes and rapid fail protection. However, the Transcender covers a lot of DNS configuration related issues relating to configuring forward and reverse lookup zones and records. I feel as if the Transcender are going completely out of scope yet the areas that are in scope are not to difficult and understandable once I learn why the answers are correct but I also feel as is if there’s lack of detail in the MS Press book when I compare that to some of the exam questions provided with it.
Hanna said: Generally speaking, MeasureUp is going to be harder than anything else out there. In my opinion, it a good thing, however, in fact Transcender are testing you on different things ,which is also ok .If you have access to both of the excellent testing programs whereas most people have one or none 。Learn from both and your chances are pretty good.

Andrew Said: MeasureUp tests are known to all; however, I used Transcender but not MeasureUp. Although Transcender questions tend to be quite overly-complicated and wordy at times, it does provide a nice explanation of the correct answer and why the other choices are incorrect, as well as giving references to study material. So, we can get better understand from Transcender tests.

Frank said: I used to be a big fan of Transcender, however, the last time I used them was in 2004 .When I used them for my 70-290 preparation, those indeed did me a great help, however most of them are really slipped. Because I found the problem with the Transcender that I used: questions delving down into such minute that you’d need almost an encyclopedic knowledge to know the answers – NOT good for exam prep! It wasn’t a matter of making sure you really know the stuff for the test. There were also a lot of errors on the 646 test.  So during my 70-646, 640, 642, and 643 preparation, I chose to used the Measure Up tests ,which has gotten better and I would say are the closest thing out there to the real exams.

Homey said: The measure up tests that came with the book are way harder for me. Especially the virtual that basically encompass two boxes and you move the steps to complete whatever you are supposed be doing over. These questions trip me up big time. The regular multiple choice questions are good though.
My review over these:
Transcender
Transcender is tough, you may find the real test easier or harder than the Transcender, however, and the Transcender tests tend to be pretty accurate as to what the test is like. Although I haven’t used them as much as some, I did get a chance to try out the Transcender for 70-290, and it was pretty darned close to the real test, as well as kind of difficulty you’ll see on the test.Transcender is the best food supplement for I.T. Certifications
MeasureUp practice exam:
I’ve been using MeasureUp practice exams for the 70-270 & 70-290 exams and have gone for the exam when I’m regularly getting +75% results. Have passed both well. However, I was pretty confident as I’d been getting +75% on MeasureUp. Wow! Transcenders are tough! I’ve just finished my first practice exam on it and got 48%.

Summarization
Most of us think Transcender tests are tough, while MeasureUp tests are easier. When we prepare our Microsoft certification exams, I think the practice exams from MeasureUp are enough for us .If we have enough time or access to read the Transcender tests ,we will have better understanding of our knowledge.
