Today is May 25th, and I have made a big step finally after two-month intermittent preparation! So I send a post to encourage myself and talk about my own feelings, and also I hope to offer some experience to friends who want to take this exam.

I always want to learn .net technology systematically. I saw MCPD certification on .net on the internet which I want to take so that I can have a certification while learning knowledge. I knew that Microsoft certification has its own concerned questions long before, so I searched on the internet and found a lot of websites where you must pay for the questions and where teaches you how to prepare for the exam. Even though I found some questions, I did not know whether they were the latest because they were too scattered. Later, I found Chrysanthemum BBS. I notice that the resources here are organized quite well and FTP of the BBS offers plenty of questions and updates them in time. Many net friends share their experience on preparing the exam on it. I am so grateful to Chrysanthemum BBS for offering such a good platform for us to communicate with each other.

I have never done any job about .net development before, and I am not so eager to get the certificate neither, so I took one month and a half to read through the text, and I considered it a good chance to learn technology and to review my unfamiliar English. Then I browsed the questions offered by the BBS, I mainly read Actualtests and pass4sure. Actually, almost everyone possibly knows that if one wants to pass the exam, he can just read pass4sure directly because it nearly covers all. The reason why I read Actualtests again is that I want to review the correspondent content in the book. As expected, the questions in the exam are completely included, so I pass the exam smoothly.

By preparing exam 536, I have the following three feelings and I write them down for sharing:
1. Do not take a long time to read books. There are many posts on BBS which suggest sitting one exam in one month, and I think it sensible to arrange like this. It costs me almost one month and a half to read books, but I go blank finally about what I have read before, which affects my reading efficiency, so do not follow me.
2. Do not ignore after-text questions and conclusions. I read for speed, so I miss two pages. Though I can understand the book, I have a vague impression on some key points and forget easily because of the two missed pages. Besides, I can not get a knowledge frame of each chapter overall. Each knowledge point is independent from the other, and I can not string them together. Therefore, after reading, I still have a very vague idea of most knowledge except for some relative familiar knowledge.
3. If conditions permit, trying to find and read the correspondent Chinese version of text. English is English though; your poor understanding of some terms may directly leads to a poor master of concerned knowledge points. During the later part, a friend recommend me a book called C# and .net2.0prctice-platform、language and frame written by a Frenchman. The contents of this book are very similar to those of the book 536, so it works well if you combine the two together. It is a pity that I know this very late, and I buy it when I almost finish my former book. Of course, the main reason is that I am too impatient, for it will take a long time to read the two books together. Actually, if you want to learn something, you should read some Chinese books and write codes often. I am afraid of losing learning motivation if I just get the certificate in one month by reciting questions, hehe. I hope that my own experience can be helpful to people who want to get the certificate.

If you apply for the certification this month, you will have a second chance to retake the exam for free, so I apply for the exam 526 taking place next week. There are only five and a half days left for preparing, so I plan to read questions directly, searching knowledge points for supplements according to the questions. If I pass, I will plan to read the 526 text systematically next month. At last, I hope that anyone who takes the exam can learn knowledge while getting the certification.
